Los Blancos are thought to be preparing to step up their interest in Mbappe after Euro 2020, with the France international - out of contract at Paris Saint-Germain next summer - seemingly keen to push through a move.

Real Madrid also continue to be linked with Haaland, although Borussia Dortmund are expected to resist the interest in the Norway international for another 12 months.

Alternatives to the pair have been mentioned, but according to Marca, Los Blancos only want to sign Mbappe or Haaland and will not settle for a lesser player during this summer's transfer window.

Carlo Ancelotti's side are thought to be hopeful of shifting the likes of Mariano Diaz, Luka Jovic, Dani Ceballos and Brahim Diaz in the coming weeks in order to raise transfer funds.
