Los Blancos were happy to pay €220m (£188.56m) to get a deal over the line before the end of the summer transfer window.

However, PSG failed to respond to Real's extravagant bid, risking the possibility of losing the 22-year-old on a free transfer next year.

According to ABC, officials at the La Liga giants worked out various scenarios regarding terms which may prove appealing to their priority transfer target.

Any contract going forward is likely to last for six years, with Mbappe earning €30m (£25.71m) per season and his agent and father being presented with a bonus exceeding €60m (£51.43m).
