Zinedine Zidane has played down talk of Cristiano Ronaldo wanting out of Real Madrid following the Portuguese forward's comments on Saturday night.
Speaking to the Spanish press in the aftermath of Los Blancos' 3-1 Champions League final win against Liverpool, Ronaldo hinted that his future may lie away from the Bernabeu.
The 33-year-old 'does not regret' casting doubt over his Madrid future, and plans on further clarifying his remarks next week.
Zidane insists that Ronaldo is at Madrid to stay, though, and does not want the speculation to overshadow his side's third successive Champions League triumph.
"No that's not what I'm thinking about," he told reporters. "We'll be thinking about now, and thinking about tonight's game, and the achievement of tonight.
"Focusing only on that, then we will see. Cristiano Ronaldo has to stay at Real Madrid. Cristiano Ronaldo will stay with Real Madrid, but we have to see. I think he is a Real player and we cannot describe what he has done in his career."
Ronaldo scored 15 goals for Madrid in their latest Champions League campaign to lead the scoring charts.
