Real Madrid pair Angel di Maria and Sami Khedira have both flown back to the Spanish capital following international duty.
Di Maria's Argentina play Uruguay in their World Cup qualifier on Tuesday, but the winger has been sent home as coach Alejandro Sabella has a number of other options.
Khedira, meanwhile, is suspended for Germany's clash with Sweden and has been released early from the camp.
Both are expected to start when Malaga travel to the Santiago Bernabeu in La Liga at the weekend.
