Real Sociedad have beaten third division Racing de Santander 3-1 in today's Copa del Rey first-leg clash at the Estadio Anoeta.
The home side took the lead inside the first four minutes, as Mikel Gonzalez converted a Gonzalo Castro cross from close range.
Gonzalez soon scored a second for top-tier Sociedad, converting a low cross from Castro at the far post 10 minutes before the interval.
Just after the hour mark, Carlos Vela was able to collect a loose ball inside the Racing box, before curling an effort into the far corner.
The underdogs bagged an away goal towards the end of the game, Mamadou Kone heading a whipped cross from Inaki Saenz into the back of the net from close range.
The second leg will be played at El Sardinero next week.
