Real Sociedad boss David Moyes has quashed claims that his side were fortunate not to concede a penalty in Sunday's goalless draw with Athletic Bilbao at the Anoeta.
Bilbao boss Ernesto Valverde bemoaned the referee's decision not to award a spot kick when Asier Illarramendi appeared to handle an Aritz Aduriz effort inside the box in the latter stages of the first period.
However, Moyes, whose team have won just one of their first six league games this season, has said that the correct call was made.
"It first hit his knee and then his hand. It wasn't a penalty," Moyes told reporters.
Each of the last four Basque derbies between Sociedad and Bilbao have finished all square.
