Real Sociedad will be bidding to record their first victory of the new La Liga season when they travel to Las Palmas on Friday night.
The Basque outfit have picked up two points from their opening two league games of the campaign to sit 13th in the table, while Las Palmas have collected just one point, which has left them in 14th position.
Match preview
Las Palmas started life back in the top flight with a 1-1 draw against Mallorca on August 12 before suffering a 1-0 defeat at Valencia last time out, with Pepelu's second-half penalty deciding the match.
Not too much can be read into the league table at this stage of the season, but Garcia Pimienta's side are currently 14th and are one of four teams currently on a single point in the division.
Las Palmas spent three straight seasons in La Liga between 2015 and 2018 before dropping down to the Segunda Division, but they finished second last term to secure a return to the top flight.
The home side have been active this summer in terms of the transfer market, with their two biggest signings, in terms of transfer fees, proving to be Sory Kaba and Mika Marmol.
Sandro Ramirez and Munir El Haddadi have been the eye-catching acquisitions, though, while Julian Araujo and Marvin Park have also joined the club on loan from Barcelona and Real Madrid respectively.
Real Sociedad, meanwhile, finished fourth in La Liga last season, meaning that they will be present in the group stage of the 2023-24 Champions League.
The Basque outfit will be expecting to challenge for the top four once again this term, but it has been an underwhelming start to this season, only picking up two points from their first two matches.
Indeed, Imanol Alguacil's side played out a 1-1 draw with Girona on August 12 before the same scoreline occurred in their last game with Celta Vigo on Saturday.
Ander Barrenetxea sent Real Sociedad ahead in the 22nd minute of the match, before Oscar Mingueza came up with the leveller for Celta in the fourth minute of added time at the end of the 90.
The club recently made their third signing of the summer, bringing in Arsen Zakharyan from Dynamo Moscow, with the 20-year-old following Hamari Traore and Andre Silva to the club.

Real Sociedad will not have new signing Zakharyan available, as the youngster has still not been registered with La Liga, while fellow recruit Andre Silva is still injured.
The home side are also missing Mikel Merino, Martin Merquelanz and Aritz Elustondo due to fitness issues, but there is expected to be changes from the side that started against Celta.
