Imanol Agirretxe scored twice, including a stoppage-time winner, as Real Sociedad beat Eibar 2-1 in Sunday's La Liga clash at the Anoeta.
The result has seen Sociedad jump into 13th position in the table, while Eibar remain ninth, but they are just one point off the top six.
It was the in-form visitors that took the lead at San Sebastian, Borja Baston finding the back of the net from close range after good build-up outside the box.
Sociedad did not have to wait long to level the scores, however, with top scorer Agirretxe finding the bottom corner with a super volley from close range.
Both teams struggled for opportunities as the first period developed and the game's next outstanding chance did not arrive until the 55th minute, when Agirretxe, after being set up by Carlos Vela, fired wide of the post from inside the box.
Both managers made changes as the second period developed, but it did appear that the points would be shared. Agirretxe had other ideas, however, as the in-form striker fired home from close range to ensure that Eusebio Sacristan's team secured all the points.
