New York Red Bulls have suffered their first home defeat of the season with a 2-0 defeat to Sporting Kansas City.
The visitors took the lead on 12 minutes when C.J. Sapong tucked home the rebound after Graham Zusi's original shot had come back off the crossbar.
Kansas didn't have to wait long to get their second as Kei Kamara headed in Zusi's cross seven minutes later.
Tim Cahill and Thierry Henry both had chances to get the Red Bulls back in the match before the break but they were unable to convert.
Sapong nearly scored his second goal of the game on the hour, only to see New York goalkeeper Bill Gaudette push away his header.
As the home side tried to get back in the game they left themselves open to counter-attacks from Kansas, but some wayward finishing from Kamara and Zusi kept the score at 2-0.
