Reims put three goals past a lethargic Nantes side to claim a comfortable 3-1 victory at the Stade Auguste Delaune in Ligue 1 this evening.
Reims went ahead after 14 minutes when Gregory Bourillon found himself with space to tuck home following a set piece.
The hosts doubled their advantage just two minutes later as Franck Signorino led a counter-attack before picking out Aissa Mandi, who made no mistake with a finish into the bottom-left corner.
Any hope of a Nantes fightback was potentially dampened as half time closed in, with Chaker Alhadhur producing a woeful tackle on Benjamin Moukandjo which saw him receive a straight red card.
The home side cemented the three points with 30 minutes left to play through David Ngog, who collected Gaetan Charbonnier's through ball to convert low past Remy Riou.
The visitors were able to claw a consolation back with just over 10 minutes left to play when Ismael Bangoura tucked into the bottom corner, but Reims defended resolutely in the closing minutes to claim victory.
