Former Republic of Ireland boss Giovanni Trapattoni has revealed that he is in talks with interested parties as he prepares to return to management.
The 74-year-old has been without a job since leaving his post as Ireland manager last month, but it appears that the Italian will soon return to the field.
"I left Ireland without controversy. We had important results together and had some satisfying moments. It's true we were unable to achieve qualification to the World Cup, but at the end of the day we said goodbye like civilised people," he told Tuttosport.
"I got to know an exceptional country, humble and also proud. In a nation that doesn't have its own football league, I think I did a good job. I won't hide that I am currently in contact with some interesting people, as the football in Australia and Russia has evolved.
"I am intrigued by Africa, who still have tactical naivete. You will see me back on the field soon. There's always something new on the horizon."
Trapattoni has also previously manager AC Milan, Juventus, Inter Milan, Italy and Bayern Munich.
