Striker Robbie Keane will make a record 126th appearance for Republic of Ireland on Friday night after being named in the side to face the Faroe Islands.
The 32-year-old will replace Shay Given as his country's record appearance holder when he skippers his team in their World Cup qualifier.
The Los Angeles Galaxy forward will partner Simon Cox in attack, while Wes Hoolahan comes in for James McCarthy.
Giovanni Trapattoni's side are currently in fourth place on goal difference in their World Cup qualifying group.
