Torquay United have won for the first time in seven games this evening, beating League Two promotion hopefuls Rochdale 2-0.
The bottom club recovered well from conceding just before half time, and were rewarded with a Joss Labadie winner shortly before the end.
Torquay started the game well with Shamir Goodwin getting on the ball early on and testing the goalkeeper with a couple of long-range efforts.
Their pressure told shortly afterwards when Krystian Pearce rose highest to head home Courtney Cameron's free kick.
The bottom club continued to come forward and enjoy possession but were undone just before half time as Jamie Allen wriggled free inside the box and fired in from a tight angle.
Torquay continued to have the better of the play in the second half as Labadie and Jayden Stockley both saw good efforts saved, before Labadie gave the hosts the lead with eight minutes left, firing the ball into the bottom corner from close range.
