Rochdale have moved to the summit of the League Two table as they came from a goal down to beat Bristol Rovers 2-1 at the Memorial Stadium this afternoon.
Peter Vincenti forced a good save from Rovers keeper Steve Mildenhall after only five minutes, as he drilled an effort towards the bottom right corner of goal.
However, Bristol Rovers took the lead with what was almost their first chance of the game as Kaid Mohamed converted from the centre of the box after he was found by John-Joe O'Toole.
Rochdale goalkeeper Josh Lillis was forced to make a good save not long after the opener when Matt Harrold fired off a shot towards the bottom corner from a tight angle.
The visitors hadn't given up, though, as they came out strongest in the second half, with Joe Bunney lashing the ball across the face of goal and into the net having collected an adroit pass from George Donnelly.
Rochdale grabbed their winner in the 62nd minute as Michael Rose whipped in a cross, which was met by Matthew Lund, who tapped home with his right.
Tom Lockyer might have grabbed a late point for Rovers with eight minutes to play, but he fluffed his lines when he hit a decent chance straight into the arms of Mildenhall.
