Rochdale player-coach Brian Barry-Murphy has signed a one-year contract extension with the club.
The 36-year-old midfielder joined the League One outfit in 2010.
Barry-Murphy has made 65 appearances for the team so far, but he failed to feature last season.
"He's in a very, very good place physically and he understands the game mentally," manager Keith Hill told the club's official website. "He's a good sounding board for a lot of the players and he's a great player-coach to have in the squad."
Rochdale start the new season at home to Peterborough United on August 8.
