Rochdale have completed the signing of Crewe Alexandra winger Lee Molyneux on a short-term loan deal.
The 24-year-old, who joined Crewe during the summer, will remain at Spotland until January 6.
Rochdale boss Keith Hill has revealed that he was tracking Molyneux before the player moved to Gresty Road.
"He was a player that I was chasing in the summer and I couldn't pass up the opportunity to recruit that type of player when I was made aware of his availability," Hill told Rochdale's official website.
"I know how much he wants to come, so it was a no-brainer. It's good to recruit players when we're doing well and I think it's a stimulus for the players that we've got and a stimulus for the player coming in.
"Lee is an exceptional technical player and he'll fit right into the functional necessity of our team, either as a left sided player, a central player, a right sided player, a number 10 or a possible left-back, so it's one size fits all."
Molyneux has made nine appearances for Crewe this season.
