Roma manager Rudi Garcia has said that he is to blame for his side's 7-1 capitulation to Bayern Munich in the Champions League tonight.
The Italian side went 5-0 down inside the opening 35 minutes as they were stunned by a breathtaking attacking display by the German outfit, but rather than questioning the performance of his players, Garcia has accepted full responsibility for the result.
"I am the first one who made the mistake, it is not the fault of the players." he is quoted as saying by BBC Sport.
"The first half approach was my fault entirely. It was the wrong strategy, we should have been more closed up and try to hit them on the counter-attack.
"It was a tactical collapse more than a psychological one. We weren't aggressive enough and allowed Bayern to play."
Despite the crushing defeat, Roma are still in second place in Group E, with four points from three games.
