Roma full-back Maicon has claimed that his side were "lucky" not to concede more goals in their 6-1 defeat against Barcelona.
The Italian club found themselves trailing by three goals at half time, and only managed to find the scoresheet with a scant consolation in added time.
"We tried to play our football but tonight we didn't manage to do anything," BBC Sport quotes Maicon as saying.
"We were lucky to lose only 6-1 actually. Our objectives for the season do not change but we have to play differently from tonight. We never really tried to play, we did zero, nothing."
Roma can still qualify for the knockout stage in the tournament if they claim a win over BATE Borisov in their final group match next month.
