Roma have been held to a goalless draw in the first half in their Coppa Italia quarter-final tie against Fiorentina this evening.
Radja Nainggolan had the first attempt on goal with a half-volley that was watched all the way by Ciprian Tatarusanu.
They threatened again moments later when Alessandro Florenzi latched on to Nainggolan's clever ball over the top and sent his effort just over the bar.
Roma were creating all of the best chances and Adem Ljajic came close with a low effort that deflected just wide of the post.
On the half-hour mark Nainggolan almost saw his powerful strike deflect into the net off Ashley Cole, but Tatarusanu palmed the ball clear.
Fiorentina rarely posed a threat, with their best chance coming just before the break, when Mario Gomez headed a corner wide at the front post.
