Daniele De Rossi has claimed that his love for Roma has prevented him from leaving the club in the past.
The 31-year-old has made over 450 appearances for Roma since his debut back in 2003, and despite being repeatedly linked with moves to Spain and England in recent season, he admits that he would find it to tough to play for another club.
"At certain times there was a slight possibility of leaving, but deep down my father and I share a love for this club and that's what keeps us going," De Rossi told UEFA's official website.
"In modern-day football loyalty is an exception, there are a lot of things to consider nowadays."
De Rossi's father Alberto played for Roma and his currently the club's Under-21 coach.
