Roma forward Mattia Destro is handed a three-game suspension for punching Cagliari defender Davide Astori.

Roma forward Mattia Destro has been given a three-match ban for punching Cagliari Calcio defender Davide Astori.

The incident happened on Sunday during Roma's 3-1 win at Cagliari in Serie A.

Destro, who scored a hat-trick at the Stadio Sant'Elia, must also serve an additional one-game suspension after receiving a booking for the altercation.

The Italian international is due to return for the Giallorossi's home game against Juventus on May 9.

Destro is Roma's top scorer this season with 13 goals in 18 games.
