Coach Rudi Garcia has hailed the legendary Francesco Totti after reaching the 300-goal barrier for Roma in this afternoon's 2-2 draw with Sassuolo at Stadio Olimpico.
The 38-year-old, whose first goal came in the 1994-95 season, cancelled out Gregoire Defrel's opener to reach the milestone, but Garcia would have preferred it to come during a victory.
"Totti? 300 is an incredible number. We were waiting for it, but we'd all have preferred to celebrate a win," he told reporters at a press conference.
"Mohamed Salah scored a great goal, like Totti. It's just a shame their goals weren't enough to get us the win."
Totti has scored in each of the last 21 Serie A seasons.
