Roma midfielder Miralem Pjanic has said that his side's main priority this season is to win the Serie A title, following their exit from the Champions League.
The Giallorossi suffered a 2-0 defeat against Manchester City on Wednesday evening, which means that they will now play in the Europa League when the competition resumes in the New Year.
"The Scudetto was always our priority," he told reporters. "It's a shame about last night, but as Rudi Garcia said, we have to forget what happened and go forward.
"Obviously we wanted to get through to the next round of the Champions League, but we didn't manage it and now should concentrate on the Europa League.
"In any case, Serie A remains our real principal objective, as we are targeting the Scudetto. Now we have to finish well before the Christmas break, hoping to get six points so we can rest and recover well for 2015."
Roma return to league action with a visit to Genoa on Sunday.
