Roma midfielder Seydou Keita has insisted that the club can challenge Juventus for the Serie A title this season.
The Giallorossi have finished behind the Old Lady in second place in the Italian top flight for the past two seasons.
"It's clear that Juventus remain favourites but we have a team that can do better in respect to last season," he told Barcelona's official website ahead of the Joan Gamper Trophy match.
"Last year we had a good campaign. We came second in the league, although I have to say the second half of the season was difficult.
"But we still ended behind only Juventus, who made it to the final of the Champions League, so I think I can say it was a good season."
Roma are due to meet Juventus in their second league match of the season on August 30.
