Udinese have missed the chance to go third in Serie A this evening after losing 3-1 to AS Roma.
The hosts made a perfect start to the match when they took the lead after eight minutes courtesy of Pablo Osvaldo's strike.
Udinese levelled the sides shortly before the half-time interval, however, when Antonio Di Natale fed the ball to Gelson Fernandes, who made no mistake with his effort.
Both sides began to push on looking for an all-important goal in the race for a top-four spot in Serie A, but neither defence looked like buckling.
However, five minutes from time Osvaldo again had a telling part to play, this time finding Francesco Totti who swept Roma into the lead.
The three points was sealed in stoppage time when Marquinho extended the home side's lead to two goals having been set up by Bojan.
The result means that Udinese remain in fourth place, three points behind Lazio, while Roma now sit fifth, just one point behind today's opponents.
