Roma have confirmed the signing of Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa on a season-long loan deal from Newcastle United.
The deal is understood to give Roma the option of making the transfer permanent at the end of the season.
The 25-year-old will act as a replacement for Mehdi Benatia at the club following his move to Bayern Munich earlier this month.
Yanga-Mbiwa, who has three caps for France, joined the Magpies in 2013, making 46 appearances for the club in all competitions.
