Roma general manager Mauro Baldissoni has confirmed that his club will re-sign Lorenzo Pellegrini this summer.
The 21-year-old came through the youth system at Roma before joining Sassuolo in the summer of 2015, and the midfielder has scored 11 times in 53 appearances over the last two seasons.
Roma retain a £8.7m buy-back option in Pellegrini's contract, however, and Baldissoni has revealed that the Italian "will sign soon".
"Pellegrini? He will sign soon," Baldissoni told Corriere dello Sport. "What can fans expect from Roma in the transfer market? It's June 25."
Pellegrini is part of the Italy Under-21s squad that has reached the semi-finals of this summer's Under-21 European Championships in Poland.
