Roma sporting director Walter Sabatini has denied that the club are keen on signing Zlatan Ibrahimovic, claiming that it would represent a "foolish investment".
Speculation had mounted that the Giallorossi were interested in the 33-year-old Paris Saint-Germain striker, whose future in the French capital is thought to be in doubt.
"If Milan want Ibrahimovic, then everything's possible," Sabatini is quoted as saying by Il Giornale. "But if Roma want Ibra, then it's a foolish investment."
The Sweden international netted 28 goals in all competitions last term, as PSG clinched a domestic treble - and a third successive Ligue 1 title.
Ibrahimovic is contracted to PSG until 2016.
