Bafetimbi Gomis has fired Swansea City to a 1-0 lead over Rotherham United at half time in the Capital One Cup this evening.
Swansea dominated the possession in the opening 10 minutes, but it was Michael Tidser who had the opening chance of the match, volleying just wide for Rotherham.
The hosts continued to create chances though, and managed to break the deadlock when Gomis slotted the ball into the bottom corner on his first start for the Welsh side.
Lee Frecklington came close to getting the Championship side back on level terms just before the half-hour mark, but he rushed his shot and fired well high.
Dwight Tiendalli almost doubled the advantage on the stroke of half time for Swansea following a quick break by Gomis, but the defender turned the ball into the side-netting.
