Rotherham United manager Steve Evans has hit out at his side's defending after they conceded two late goals in their 3-2 home defeat to Yorkshire rivals Sheffield Wednesday.
Jordan Bowery thought that he had given the Millers victory when he put his side 2-1 up in the 87th minute, but Atdhe Nuhiu and Kieran Lee scored in injury time to snatch the points for Wednesday yesterday afternoon.
Evans told BBC Sport: "It's hard to take. For long spells we have outworked, outplayed Sheffield Wednesday and dominated a derby. The defending is poor for each of the goals, you can't defend like that in a football match.
"We are down because we didn't deserve that. We gave very, very sloppy goals away, it's disheartening. If you switch off you get punished, you just can't defend like that.
"We are as down as we can be. We are getting smashed, every decision goes against us, that's how it feels anyway."
Rotherham sit 21st in the Championship table, five points clear of safety.
