New FIFA president Gianni Infantino has confirmed that the next two World Cups will go ahead as planned in Russia and Qatar.
The countries were named hosts of the two tournaments five years ago by then-president Sepp Blatter in a controversial bidding process that is now being investigated by Swiss prosecutors.
Speaking at FIFA headquarters today, Infantino said that the organisation would be proceeding with the tournaments despite the investigation.
Football Association chairman Greg Dyke recently said that following Infantino's election, England - who lost the 2018 Cup to Russia - would consider bidding to host the tournament in 2030.
