Saint-Etienne coach Christophe Galtier has suggested that his side let themselves slip as they gave away a two-goal lead during their recent 3-3 draw at home to Lens.
The home side had been cruising until a Lens fightback left them requiring a last-gasp equaliser from Melvut Erding to secure a point at the Stade Geoffroy-Guichard.
"Wins are tough to get these days," said Galtier, according to official Ligue 1 website.
"We thought we had done the hard work when we went 2-0 up, but no. We let ourselves slip and Lens of course scored three in the space of 15 minutes. We managed to get back to 3-3 with a lot of courage and commitment.
"But in terms of points, it's not a case of mission accomplished, especially after the loss to Caen."
Saint-Etienne currently hold fourth spot in the Ligue 1 standings.
