Saint-Etienne have picked up their first win of the Ligue 1 season with a narrow 1-0 victory at Ajaccio.
The away side took the lead against the run of play in the 34th minute when Brandao tapped in Romain Hamouma's cross at the back post.
Saint-Etienne had chances to double their advantage in the second half, but Brandao and Banel Nicolita both squandered decent openings.
Meanwhile, Ajaccio looked toothless in attack and failed to trouble their opponents.
