Saint-Etienne have beaten Lorient 3-2 at home in Ligue 1.
Brandao's header got the home side off to a great start as he finished Yohan Mollo's cross.
Kurt Zouma then missed the chance to extend that lead, but Benjamin Corgnet made no mistake as he struck home from the edge of the area.
Lorient managed to pull themselves back into the game towards the end of the first half through Yann Jouffre.
After the break, the hosts had chances to go further ahead but had to wait until the 72nd minute when Max Gradel found the bottom corner with a well-struck shot.
The away side almost responded immediately, but Kevin Monnet-Paquet could only find the stands from six yards out.
Vincent Aboubakar then forced Stephane Ruffier into a save as Lorient built some pressure.
That pressure paid off four minutes from the end when Aboubakar smashed the ball in from close range. However, they were unable to force the equaliser.
