Cameroon star Samuel Eto'o has terminated his contract with Serie A outfit Sampdoria.
The 34-year-old joined the Italians in January following a short spell at Everton, but he has now departed, with reports linking him with a move to Turkish club Antalyaspor.
"President Massimo Ferrero and all at Sampdoria salute Samuel Eto'o, who has terminated his contract with Sampdoria," read a statement on the club's official website.
"Goodbye great man, we went along with your will, between football men it's not hard to understand, just a handshake.
"It was a pleasure and an honour to have you with us, to see you on the field in the most beautiful shirt in the world, and now we sincerely wish you the best for the rest of your enchanting career."
Eto'o has also played for Barcelona and Inter Milan, helping each club to win the Champions League.
