Sampdoria came from behind to earn a 1-1 draw in their Serie A match with Sassuolo this afternoon.
The visitors made the perfect start and opened the scoring in the second minute when Francesco Acerbi headed in from Sime Vrsaljko's cross.
Sassuolo's lead lasted just seven minutes as Eder powered in a header from Roberto Soriano's delivery to level the scores.
Midway through the first half, Ezequiel Munoz came close to giving the hosts the lead, but his header was kept out by Andrea Consigli.
Sergio Floccari then threatened for Sassuolo when he latched onto a ball over the top before being denied by Emiliano Viviano.
In the second half, Stefano Okaka and Soriano both had attempts saved as neither team were unable to find another goal.
