Sassuolo manager Eusebio Di Francesco has said that his team's victory over Chievo can inspire them in their relegation battle.
The Neroverdi claimed a 1-0 win thanks to Domenico Berardi's first-half strike and have moved level in the Serie A table with 17th placed Bologna.
"It was important to win today even if we know that we could pay for it in our upcoming match as we had many players at risk of being banned," Di Francesco told Rai Sport.
"Those that will play in place of the suspended players will do well regardless because this is a group of professionals.
"Berardi? He has rediscovered a bit of serenity that he was missing lately. He needed the goal in order to have even more assurance. Regardless of the goal he played a great match today."
Sassuolo's top scorer Berardi took his tally for the season to 13 league goals in today's match.
