Sassuolo forward Domenico Berardi has revealed that he would choose to join Liverpool over any other club in world football.
Berardi came through the ranks at Sassuolo and has gone on to make 211 appearances for the senior team, but his performances in recent campaigns have led to speculation that he could move on to bigger things.
Liverpool are one of the clubs to have been linked with the Italy international in the past, while more recently it is Inter Milan and AC Milan who have been credited with an interest, but Berardi has confirmed that his ideal move would be to Anfield.
"If an offer arrives, be it from Milan or another club, I will evaluate it with my club," he told Gazzetta dello Sport.
"And if I hear that it is the right proposal, to be taken on the fly, this time I will say to Sassuolo: 'I'll take it'. Being able to choose, I would play in Liverpool.
"Changing remains difficult for me, but it no longer frightens me, I would do it. The next goal is to play in Europe, but at a club where I can be used a lot, if not always. That is my priority."
The 24-year-old has scored nine goals and created five more to help Sassuolo to 10th place in Serie A this season.
