Bartholomew Ogbeche's 94th-minute equaliser for Cambuur denied SBV Excelsior a crucial win in their fight against the Eredivisie drop this evening.
Adil Auassar's second-half goal in Leeuwarden put the visitors on course for three points which would have taken them six clear of the relegation playoff places.
Excelsior, who were winless in five games prior to kickoff, conceded 74% possession in the first half but had the best chances through Tom van Weert and Jeff Stans.
Stans provided Adil Auassar with his fourth of the campaign to put Excelsior in front on 53 minutes, and the Rotterdam club seemed poised to hang on under increasing pressure.
However, Ogbeche struck at the death to earn his side a 1-1 draw and leave Excelsior only four above safety ahead of the remainder of the 31st round of fixtures this weekend.
