Borussia Dortmund have produced an excellent performance to beat rivals Schalke 04 away from home in the Bundesliga.
The hosts started brightly, with both Kevin-Prince Boateng and Adam Szalai coming close, although Marco Reus's effort saved by Timo Hildebrand was the closest either side came early on.
Just before the quarter-hour mark Aubameyang was found by Reus and he finished well from just inside the box to put his side in front.
He could have doubled the advantage but only managed to pick out Hildebrand from a Marcel Schmelzer cross.
The hosts had the perfect chance to draw level but Boateng missed a penalty on 30 minutes after a good save from Roman Weidenfeller, who ensured his side went in ahead.
In the second half the men in yellow were keen to press home their advantage and did just that through Nuri Sahin, who fired into the top corner from 25 yards.
Schalke responded well and Max Meyer gave them some hope with his low finish from a tight angle, but the decisive fourth goal went to the away side.
Jakub Blaszczykowski, on as a substitute, kept his composure from inside the box to coolly finish from a Henrikh Mkhitaryan pass.
