Schalke 04 have confirmed that Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Sidney Sam will join the club at the end of the season.
The 25-year-old German international has signed a four-year contract at the Veltins-Arena after Schalke triggered his £2m release clause.
"Sidney Sam has proven with his superb performances this season that he can offer a lot in attack. He is very versatile and wants to achieve a lot with Schalke. We are very pleased that he has opted to join us," general director Horst Heldt is quoted as saying by Goal.com.
Sam, who has won five caps for his country, joined Leverkusen from Hamburger SV in 2010.
