Scotland striker Kenny Miller believes that there is a generation of Scottish players who may never play at a major international tournament.
The Scots threw away a one-goal lead in Cardiff on Friday to lose 2-1 to Wales in their World Cup qualifying match.
Despite being dropped in favour of Steven Fletcher, Miller insists that missing out on the chance to play in the World Cup would hurt even more.
"This is my last chance probably and it's disappearing fast," said Miller.
"There's a generation of players now who are looking at the prospect of never playing for Scotland at a major finals."
The last time Scotland appeared at a World Cup was in France 1998.
