James Morrison is considered doubtful for Scotland's forthcoming World Cup qualifiers against Belgium and Macedonia.
The West Bromwich Albion midfielder picked up a groin strain during his side's 2-0 defeat to Swansea City over the weekend.
"He felt a pain in his groin just before half-time, the last couple of minutes in the first half," West Brom manager Steve Clarke told reporters.
"The medical people will assess it but I would imagine he is doubtful for the Scotland trip."
Scotland take on Belgium in Group A on Friday night before travelling to Macedonia four days later.
