Gordon Strachan has expressed his delight at Scotland's World Cup qualifying victory over Croatia tonight.
The Scots claimed a 2-0 victory over Croatia at Hampden Park in their last match of the qualifying campaign, with Strachan challenging his side to use tonight as a platform to build upon for the future.
"There's definitely progress being made under the new manager and it was a team performance rather than individuals," he is quoted as saying by BBC Sport.
"There were a few comments before about how long it's been since we won a competitive game and tonight we showed that we can do it and can compete against the best.
"We'll take this into the next campaign and show that we can challenge and try and get to a major tournament."
Scotland finished fourth in World Cup qualifying Group A on 10 points.
