Dean Burton has committed his future to Scunthorpe United by signing a contract extension with the League One club.
The former Jamaica international's previous deal expired at the end of last season, but following negotiations, Burton has opted to remain at Glanford Park.
Upon signing the one-year agreement, the 37-year-old told the club's official website: "There was interest from elsewhere but I've started something here with the lads and I saw the others re-sign and I thought why not carry it on?
"I've been away since agreeing it a couple of weeks ago. Everything was in place and I just had to come back up and sign it. It's a one-year deal and it will be in League One this time, which will be great. Everyone has agreed new terms and that's because it's a club where good things are happening."
The centre-forward found the net on six occasions last term.
