Sevilla president Jose Castro has admitted that he is "worried" about the club's form and has revealed that manager Vincenzo Montella's future will be decided at a board meeting early next week.
Los Rojiblancos suffered a 5-0 loss to Barcelona in Saturday evening's Copa del Rey final clash as their inconsistent form continued.
Montella revealed earlier this week that he would like to stay on at Sevilla for the long term, but following a fourth defeat by five goals since taking charge in December his position is to be reviewed.
"We are in contact with Montella," Castro told reporters. "We are worried about the situation. We will continue talking, but experience tells me that we must keep a cool head.
"On Tuesday at the board meeting we will take the decisions. The board will take the measure it believes can provide ahead of the last five matches."
Sevilla were beaten 2-0 on aggregate by Bayern Munich in the quarter-finals of the Champions League and are seventh in the La Liga standings.
