Sevilla have claimed a 6-1 win over Segunda Division outfit Sabadell in the first leg of their Copa del Rey last-32 tie this evening.
The visitors opened the scoring in the 28th minute when Thimothee Kolodziejczak slotted home from close range following a corner.
Iago Aspas doubled their lead two minutes before half time with a powerful volley into the far corner, after his initial effort had been blocked.
Aspas scored his second on the hour mark as he raced through on goal and saw his shot saved by the keeper, but the ball bounced back to him kindly and he kept his composure to slot home the rebound.
Kevin Gameiro further extended his side's lead from the penalty spot and Jose Antonio Reyes made it five with a powerful strike into the top corner.
Ernest Forgas pulled a goal back for the hosts five minutes later, but Sevilla had the last word as Aspas scored from the penalty spot in stoppage time to seal his hat-trick and round off a comfortable night for the La Liga side.
