Nigel Clough has said that taking a win is all that matters to teams at this stage of the season.
His Sheffield United side claimed a 1-0 win over Stevenage in League One yesterday, despite their opponents coming close to an equaliser several times.
The manager told Sky Sports News: "It was hard work and we struggled at times. Any manager will tell you at this stage of the season that it's just about the three points.
"We ground it out and it was a very good goal we scored, despite it being an own goal. The build-up was excellent.
"You've got to give Stevenage credit as well because they're fighting for their lives and battling for absolutely everything. We had to defend very, very well."
The result has left the Blades ninth in the League One table, eight points outside the playoff places.
