Convicted rapist Ched Evans could reportedly leave the UK to rebuild his football career after no British clubs showed an interest in him.
The forward had been set to return to training with former team Sheffield United, but the Blades were forced to withdraw an invitation to the Welshman. However, it appears that the ex-Manchester City forward may need to leave the country to help his prospects.
A Football League source is quoted by The Mirror as saying: "There is no doubt not only Sheffield United but just about every club in the country has been taken aback at the strength of feeling about his case.
"As he is struggling to even train with fellow pros in this country, his best bet may be to go abroad and rebuild his career."
The report comes after United chairman Jim Phipps expressed his frustration that the club were forced to withdraw their invitation to Evans, following pressure from public figures connected to the South Yorkshire outfit.
