Ched Evans will reportedly be offered the chance to rebuild his football career by six clubs who are competing for his signature.
The Welshman, who was released from prison last month after serving half of a five-year jail sentence for rape, saw an invitation from Sheffield United to train with them withdrawn by the club on Friday.
However, The People claims that senior figures from as many as six potential suitors will meet the 25-year-old in secret over the next few weeks to decide whether they can offer him a contract.
Evans is understood to be upset with Sheffield United following their decision not to offer him a deal, feeling that the club had broken promises made to him whilst he was in prison.
United recorded a 1-1 draw in their League One encounter with Oldham Athletic on Saturday.
